The drum (2) is held around its shell (7) by at least one bracket (6) and is preferably connected to the bracket (6) by two joints (8. The bracket (6) is preferably fastened to the stand (3). The drum is arranged in the stand so that the drummer beats the drum head (14) vertically with both beaters (10).
