The apparatus has a database to store salaries, each salary associated with a job description and a geographic location. The apparatus retrieves from the database salaries whose job description and geographic location matches the job description entry and the geographic location entry. The apparatus compiles retrieved salaries to generate a median salary, which is transmitted to a user device.
