The invention provides methods and compositions for maintaining a state of wellness in a human by providing a dietary supplement comprising L-arginine, alone or in combination with either ginseng or ginkgo biloba or the combination of all three. The composition may be provided in a carrier base such as an edible food. Optionally additional nutritional supplements may be combined.
