This invention provides binocular eyeglasses that have linear polarizing
lenses to be employed by a golfer to examine the surface of a putting
green as an aid in deciding the speed and direction of a puffing stroke.
The planes of maximum transmission for the lenses are preferably
complementary each lens 45.degree. to horizontal. The polarizing lenses
are supported to permit the golfer to rotate the lenses to "tip-up"
position out of the line of sight, which enables the golfer to
alternatively see a direct view and a polarizer altered view of the
putting surface without significant delay of play.
