A colored composition contains a colorant carrier including a transparent resin, a precursor thereof, or a mixture of the transparent resin and the precursor, a colorant, and an organic liquid medium. The organic liquid medium consists of an organic solvent (a) having a boiling point at 760 mmHg of 100.degree. C. or higher but lower than 160.degree. C., and an organic solvent (b) having a boiling point at 760 mmHg of 160.degree. C. or higher but lower than 215.degree. C. The organic solvent (b) is contained in an amount of 3% to 35% by weight based on the total amount of the colored composition.
