The receiving container includes a bottom plate, a sidewall, and a gap-regulating portion. The light-guiding unit is disposed on the bottom plate. The sidewall faces the side surface of the light-guiding unit and is disposed at a peripheral portion of the bottom plate. The gap-regulating portion is formed at the sidewall or the bottom plate, to reduce a gap between the light-generating unit and the light-guiding unit. Thus, loss of light emitted by the point light source decreases so that power consumption of a backlight assembly and a display apparatus is reduced.
