A glass having a visible transmission of no greater than 28% and low IR transmission, and employing a colorant portion: TABLE-US-00001 total iron (expressed as Fe.sub.2O.sub.3): 0.7 to 1.8% cobalt oxide (e.g., Co.sub.3O.sub.4): 0.001 to 1.0% titanium oxide (e.g., TiO.sub.2): 0.25 to 3.0% selenium (e.g., Se): 0 to 0.0020% chromium oxide (e.g., Cr.sub.2O.sub.3): 0 to 0.010%.
