The present invention provides a skin cream which can be used by most individuals on a daily basis to improve the quality of skin tone. The skin cream of the present invention comprises at least one anti-oxidant, an anti-inflammatory agent, an exfoliant, and an agent to protect against UV irradiation. In addition, the skin cream of the present invention may comprise oils, creams, and/or other compounds to promote adsorption of the active ingredients and to increase vibrancy of the skin tone. For example, in an embodiment, the skin cream of the present invention comprises: (a) dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE), (b) .alpha.-lipoic acid, (c) lactic acid, (d) retinol, (e) zinc or titanium oxide, and (f) vitamin C, wherein components (a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) are in amounts such that application of the cream to an individual increases the thickness of collagen bundles in the individual's skin.
