A composition which includes a pulp extract from the fruit of Argania spinosa and at least one dermopharmaceutical or cosmetic auxiliary and/or additive is provided. A process for producing an extract from the fruit of Argania spinosa, and a triterpene fraction of an extract of the pulp of the fruit of Argania spinosa including lupeol, .alpha.-amyrine, .beta.-amyrine, taraxasterol, and psi-taraxasterol are also provided.
