The invention is related to a kit for use in a surgical simulation system which comprises an operating element adapted for insertion of haptic devices and or surgical instruments/devices, at least one haptic device, at least one motion tracking sensor(s) connected to the haptic device(s), and signal transmission means for transmitting sensor signals to the simulation system.
