The present invention relates to a method of making a sintered body comprising one or more hard constituents in a binder phase by injection molding or extrusion. According to the invention, the granulating agent during drying is an ethylene oxide polymer and the binder system is not miscible with that compound. The extraction step is performed in an alcohol based solvent at a temperature of 50-78.degree. C., preferably 60-78.degree. C.
