A new and distinct variety of plum tree, Prunus salicina `Suplumthirtysix` that is characterized by heavy and consistent production of late season large (70mm) elongated fruit, often having a prominent tip. The flesh is amber-colored with a crisp, very juicy texture, aromatic flavor, high sugar content (19.degree. brix), and low acidity. The fruit skin is reddish-black with a neutral flavor.
