A novel cosmetic composition comprising, in a cosmetically acceptable medium, at least one aminosilicone of as defined herein having, for example, a contact angle ranging from 90.degree. to 180.degree. and at least one thickener, being able to afford at least one improved cosmetic property (such as lightness, disentangling, volume and sheen) and/or at least one of long-lasting and remanent effects, as well as uses of the composition, such as for washing and/or conditioning keratin materials such as the hair or the skin.
