Disclosed is a silver halide photographic light-sensitive material having a layer containing a compound of the following formula and a fluorine compound, and has a gamma of 5.0 or more for the optical density range of 0.3 to 3.0: ##STR00001## wherein R.sup.1 is alkyl or alkenyl, R.sup.2 are H, alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl or aryl, l.sup.1 is 1 10, m.sup.1 is 1 30, n.sup.1 is 0 4, a is 0 or 1, and Z.sup.1 is OSO.sub.3M or SO.sub.3M where M is cation.
