A rinse-processing composition of the present invention comprises a compound represented by R--(OC.sub.2H.sub.4).sub.n--OH, wherein R is an alkyl group containing 8 to 13 carbon atoms and n is an integer of 10 to 30, but comprises neither aldehyde compounds nor hexamethylenetetramine derivatives, and a processing method and a processing apparatus of the present invention uses such a rinse-processing composition.
