Pests can be controlled by applying an effective amount of a compound of formula (1): ##STR00001## wherein R is C.sub.2 C.sub.6 alkyl, C.sub.3 C.sub.6 cycloalkyl, (C.sub.3 C.sub.6 cycloalkyl)C.sub.1 C.sub.2 alkyl, 3,3,3-trifluoropropyl or 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-methylpropyl to pests or habitats of pests.
