The present invention provides a configuration of a hard-drive containment system and method for manufacture in which a polymer including an electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI shielding) is configured such that shielding gaskets may be reduced or eliminated completely. Patterned sinusoidal "cuts" that are molded into one or more sides of a disk-drive container made of Premier.RTM. or another EMI shielding polymer material that provides sufficient EMI shielding, such that further shielding, such that the need for gaskets is reduced or eliminated.
