The present invention is directed to a system and method for creating choreography, comprising an input device for inputting alphanumeric characters and a processor for receiving the inputted alphanumeric characters. The processor performs the steps of associating a body movement with each character of the set of alphanumeric characters, and combining characters of the alphanumeric set of characters into one or more words to creating a textual representation of the choreography to be performed. The textual representation of the choreography and an image performing the choreography may be displayed on a display device.
