A bounding box (35) is defined for source data to be transferred to the multiprocessor (10) for processing. The dimensions of the bounding box (35) are derived from the dimensions of an associated block (30) in destination space and from the transform coefficients. The bounding box dimensions may be calculated so as to provide the most efficient transfers.
