A method for accurately controlling power in a radio communication system is
disclosed.
The method comprises the following steps: measuring a ratio of noise-to-power in
a signal received from a terminal; measuring received power and estimating a ratio
of noise-to-power and received power by using the received signal; and comparing
the estimated ratio of noise-to-power and received power with a predetermined threshold
value to determine a power control bit (PCB).
