A method of forming a biosensor is provided. The method includes providing a
substrate
and a cover including first and second surfaces, positioning a reagent on the substrate,
carving a channel by laser ablation in the first surface, and coupling the first
surface of the cover to the second surface. The channel includes a first portion
having a first height and a second portion having a second height that is less
than the first height.
