The invention provides Staphylococcus aureus methionyl tRNA synthetase
polypeptides and DNA (RNA) encoding Staphylococcus aureus methionyl tRNA
synthetase polypeptides and methods for producing such poypeptides by recombinant
techniques. Also provided are methods for utilizing Staphylococcus aureus methionyl
tRNA synthetase polypeptides for the protection against infection, particularly
bacterial infections.
