An outer housing of a household appliance, preferably, in cupboard form, includes
an inscription concerning the origin of the appliance on the front side of the
housing in the form of a trademark formed from a glass body. To increase the conspicuousness
of the mark, the trademark is presented from a structural element or assembly of
transparent or translucent material and is connected to at least one light source
provided on an inner side of the housing such that an outer surface of the trademark
radiates light in a forward direction when the light source is switched on.
