An antenna system includes: a) a ground plane; b) an array of antennas affixed
to the ground plane, wherein each antenna element includes a stack of antenna elements;
c) a dielectric spacer affixed to the array of antennas, and e) a frequency selective
surface affixed to the dielectric spacer. Each antenna element includes a radio
frequency element affixed to a dielectric layer.
