An LED is mounted on a substrate, and a protector made of a transparent material
is provided for sealing the LED. A color correcting filter is formed on the protector.
The color correcting filter has an effect of changing chromaticity of emitted light
of the LED to desired chromaticity of illuminating light to be discharged from
the LED device.
