Method for reducing pulp to powder and process for the production of a cellulose ether

Pulp is ground by means of a vertical roller mill. The average particle diameter of the resulting powdered pulp is adjusted to 20-300 m. The powdered pulp thus obtained is used as a starting material for the production of cellulose ethers.
