In a method for simulating the use of a system option for a technical apparatus,
data from technical apparatuses that relate to the configuration and/or the usage
of the apparatuses are collected, are stored in a central data bank, and relationships
between collected, stored data and/or between collected, stored and additionally
prescribable data are produced. The use of a system option for a technical apparatus
is simulated based on the data placed in relationship to one another.
