The present invention provides compostions and methods for the prevention or
treatment of autoimmune disorders. In particular, the invention methods utilize
genetic material encoding at least a portion of an autoreactive epitope that, upon
administration to a subject, acts to modulate the immune system thereby ameliorating
conditions associated with an autoreactive antigen.
