A method for the treatment of cancer and pain in an animal subject is
disclosed, comprising administering to said animal in need of such
treatment an effective amount of a compound of formula I:

wherein R.sup.1 -R.sup.6 are defined herein. Pharmaceutical compositions
comprising one or more compounds of formula I and a pharmaceutically
acceptable carrier are also disclosed.
