A cylinder, such as a forme or transfer cylinder of a printing machine has
at least one clamping conduit in an outer cylinder body. This clamping
conduit extends axially in the cylinder body and has a radial depth. A
tempering medium can flow through the cylinder. The cylinder outer body
has an inner surface which is generally circular and which cooperates with
the tempering medium.
