The present invention relates to a catalyst precursor for homo- or
copolymerization of olefins comprising a metallocene compound, a magnesium
containing compound and a thermoplastic polymer support, and optionally
further comprising a metal alkoxy compound, an aluminum containing
compound, a silicon containing compound and/or an alcohol. The invention
further relates to the process of polymerizing olefins using the inventive
catalyst precursor.
