The invention concerns an apparatus for generating and/or detecting radio
frequency (RF)-B1 fields in an investigational volume (10) of a magnetic
resonance (MR) device, wherein the apparatus comprises a tubular surface
coil (1; 20; 30; 41-44; 51-54; 61) which is formed from a conducting
strip and is capacitively closed at at least two neighboring ends,
wherein the ratio between length L and width W of the strip is
.ltoreq.30, and wherein the volume under investigation (10) is disposed
outside of the space surrounded by the strip, bordering an outer surface
(9) of the surface coil (1; 20; 30; 41-44; 51-54; 61) such that the Bi
field lines, generated by the surface coil (1; 20; 30; 41-44; 51-54; 61)
in the volume under investigation (10) extend substantially parallel to
this outer surface (9) thereby producing an NMR transmitting and
receiving apparatus with improved properties, in particular, one
permitting precise influence of the distribution of the RF-B1 field.
L'invenzione interessa un apparecchio per la generazione e/o la rilevazione della frequenza radiofonica (campi RF)-B1 in un volume d'investigazione (10) di un dispositivo di risonanza magnetica (SIG.), in cui l'apparecchio contiene una bobina di superficie tubolare (1; 20; 30; 41-44; 51-54; 61) che è formato da una striscia di condotta ed è capacitively chiuso almeno a due estremità vicine, in cui il rapporto fra la lunghezza L e la larghezza W della striscia è ltoreq.30 ed in cui il volume in esame (10) è disposto di fuori dello spazio circondato dalla striscia, bordering una superficie esterna (9) della bobina di superficie (1; 20; 30; 41-44; 51-54; 61) tali che le linee del giacimento della Bi, generate dalla bobina di superficie (1; 20; 30; 41-44; 51-54; 61) nel volume in esame (10) estende sostanzialmente parallelo a questa superficie esterna (9) quindi che produce un apparecchio trasmettente e di ricezione RMN alle proprietà migliorate, in particolare, un'influenza precisa consentente della distribuzione del campo RF-B1.
