This invention provides a method for identifying one or more complexes from
a library of complexes, wherein said complex or complexes are selected for
their ability to perform a preselected or desired function on a target
molecule or by having a pre-selected structure, each complex being
designated a morphatide, said method comprising: (a) preparing a library
of morphatides, comprised of: (i) a scaffolding component selected from
the group consisting of nucleic acid, nucleic acid like molecule or
nucleic acid analog having one or more regions of randomized sequence;
(ii) one or more linker components; and (iii) one or more agent molecules
or type of agent molecules, linked to the scaffolding component by one or
more type of linker components; and (b)screening the library of
morphatides prepared in step (a) by contacting, binding, or associating
the morphatides with one or more suitable target molecules upon which a
morphatide performs a preselected or desired function or to which a
morphatide binds or associates through a pre-selected structure of said
morphatide under conditions permitting said morphatide to perform said
preselected or desired function on said target molecules or permitting
said morphatide to bind or associate with said target molecules through
the preselected structure; (c) separating the morphatides performing the
preselected or desired function or binding or associating through the
preselected structure, from the library of morphatides and target
molecules; thereby identifying one or more complexes from a library of
complexes, wherein said complex or complexes are selected for their
ability to perform a preselected or desired function on a target molecule
or by having a pre-selected structure.
Diese Erfindung stellt eine Methode für das Kennzeichnen von von einem oder mehr Komplexen von einer Bibliothek der Komplexe, worin besagter Komplex oder Komplexe werden vorgewählt für ihre Fähigkeit, eine vorgewählte oder gewünschte Funktion auf einem Zielmolekül oder indem man eine vorgewählte Struktur durchzuführen hat, jedes kompliziertes kennzeichnend ein morphatide, besagtes Methode Enthalten zur Verfügung: (a) Vorbereiten einer Bibliothek von morphatides, enthalten von: (i) ein Baugerüstbestandteil vorgewählt von der Gruppe, die aus Nukleinsäure, Nukleinsäure wie Molekül oder der Nukleinsäure analog besteht, eine oder mehr Regionen der randomisierten Reihenfolge habend; (ii) ein oder mehr Verknüpfungsprogrammbestandteile; und (iii) ein oder mehr Mittelmoleküle oder Art Mittelmoleküle, verbunden mit dem Baugerüstbestandteil nach einer oder mehr Art Verknüpfungsprogrammbestandteile; und (die Bibliothek der morphatides b)screening vorbereitet in Schritt (a) durch das In Verbindung treten, das Binden oder das Verbinden mit den morphatides mit einem oder mehr verwendbaren Zielmolekülen, nach zu denen ein morphatide eine vorgewählte oder gewünschte Funktion durchführt oder, zu welchen ein morphatide durch eine vorgewählte Struktur des besagten morphatide unter Bedingungen bindet oder verbindet, besagtes morphatide ermöglichend, besagte vorgewählte oder gewünschte, Funktion auf besagten Zielmolekülen durchzuführen oder besagtes morphatide ermöglichend, zum mit besagten Zielmolekülen durch die vorgewählte Struktur zu binden oder zu verbinden; (c), die morphatides, welche die vorgewählte oder gewünschte Funktion oder die Schwergängigkeit durchführen oder durch die vorgewählte Struktur, von der Bibliothek von morphatides und von Zielmolekülen trennend verbinden; einen oder mehr Komplexe von einer Bibliothek der Komplexe dadurch kennzeichnend, worin besagter Komplex oder Komplexe werden vorgewählt für ihre Fähigkeit, eine vorgewählte oder gewünschte Funktion auf einem Zielmolekül oder indem man eine vorgewählte Struktur durchzuführen hat.
