A protecting device (30) for a slim CD-ROM drive (10) includes a first
sidewall (32), a second sidewall (34), an internal sidewall (38), and a
bottom wall (36) connecting the second sidewall and the internal sidewall.
A plurality of through holes (32a, 38a) is defined in the first sidewall
and the internal sidewall respectively. A pair of slots (34a) is defined
in the second sidewall, for providing access to the holes of the internal
sidewall. A plurality of fasteners (39) is extended through respective
openings and holes to attach the protecting device to a second side
surface (17) and a first side surface (18) of the slim CD-ROM drive.
Eine schützende Vorrichtung (30) für einen dünnen CD-ROM Antrieb (10) schließt eine erste Seitenwand (32), eine zweite Seitenwand (34), eine interne Seitenwand (38) und eine Grundmauer (36), welche die zweite Seitenwand und die interne Seitenwand anschließt mit ein. Eine Mehrzahl der durchgehenden Bohrungen (32a, 38a) wird in der ersten Seitenwand und in der internen Seitenwand beziehungsweise definiert. Ein Paar Schlitze (34a) wird in der zweiten Seitenwand, für das Zur Verfügung stellen des Zuganges zu den Bohrungen der internen Seitenwand definiert. Eine Mehrzahl der Befestiger (39) ist durch jeweilige Öffnungen und Bohrungen ausgedehnt, die schützende Vorrichtung zu einer zweite Seite Oberfläche (17) und zu einer erste Seite Oberfläche (18) des dünnen CD-ROM Antriebs anzubringen.
