Organic superlattices formed by molecular layer epitaxy (MLE), and a novel
MLE method of forming organic molecular monolayers are disclosed. The
method utilized covalent linkage, combined with self-cleaning layer
growth, to form pi-stacked, ordered, oriented monomolecular layers for use
in a variety of electronic applications.
