A halogen scavenging system is provided for inhibiting the
corrosion-causing tendency and coloration of halogen-containing olefin
polymers or copolymers, comprising incorporating about 0.01% to about 1%
of a hydroltalcite-like solid solution having the formula Al.sub.2
(Mg).sub.a (OH).sub.b (CO.sub.3).sub.c (G).sub.d.eH.sub.2 O and a
crystallite size in the <003> direction of about 190 .ANG. to about
225 .ANG., and having bidentate coordination for carbonate ion as shown by
an infrared spectrum, and wherein 3.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.5.5;
8.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.14; 1.2.ltoreq.c.ltoreq.3; 0.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.1;
1.ltoreq.e.ltoreq.10 and G is a surface active agent into the halogen
containing olefin polymer.
Ein Halogenausstossen von Unreinheitensystem wird für das Hemmen der Korrosion-verursachenden Tendenz und der Färbung der halogenhaltiger Olefinpolymer-Plastiken oder -copolymere zur Verfügung gestellt und enthält, ungefähr 0.01% enthalten bis ungefähr 1% von a hydroltalcite-wie der festen Lösung, welche die Formel Al.sub.2 hat (Mg).sub.a (OH).sub.b (CO.sub.3).sub.c (G).sub.d.eH.sub.2 O und eine Kristallitgröße in der Richtung von ANG Ungefähr 190. zu ANG. ungefähr 225 und zum Haben von von bidentate Korrdination für Karbonation, wie durch ein Infrarotspektrum gezeigt und worin 3.ltoreq.a.ltoreq.5.5; 8.ltoreq.b.ltoreq.14; 1.2.ltoreq.c.ltoreq.3; 0.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.1; 1.ltoreq.e.ltoreq.10 und G ist ein oberflächenaktives Mittel in das Halogen, das Olefinpolymer-Plastik enthält.
