The firearm safety device includes a cylindrical cartridge plug which is
insertable into a firing chamber of the barrel of a firearm. One end of
the cartridge plug is positioned proximal to the opening of the bore
through the barrel and the other end is positioned proximal to a firing
pin of the firearm. The cartridge plug has a smooth outer surface which is
in communication with an extraction finger of the firearm. A number of
protrusions emanate outwardly from the outer surface of the cartridge
plug. The protrusions are frictionally engageable with the inner wall of
the firing chamber to maintain the plug within the firing chamber. An
elongated indicator member is connected to the end of the cartridge plug
which is proximal to the bore. The other end of the elongated indicator
member extends completely through the bore of the barrel so that it is
visible outside the barrel of the firearm to indicate to the user that the
firearm is in a safe condition and cannot be fired.
Die Feuerwaffesicherheitsvorrichtung schließt einen zylinderförmigen Patrone Stecker mit ein, der in einen Zündungraum des Fasses einer Feuerwaffe einfügbar ist. Ein Ende des Patrone Steckers ist zur Öffnung der Ausbohrung durch das Faß in Position gebrachtes proximales und das andere Ende ist zu einem Zündungstift der Feuerwaffe in Position gebrachtes proximales. Der Patrone Stecker hat eine glatte Außenseite, die in der Kommunikation mit einem Extraktionfinger der Feuerwaffe ist. Eine Anzahl von Vorwölbungen strömen nach außen von der Außenseite des Patrone Steckers aus. Die Vorwölbungen sind mit der inneren Wand des Zündungraumes frictionally engageable, den Stecker innerhalb des Zündungraumes beizubehalten. Ein längliches Indikatormitglied wird an das Ende des Patrone Steckers angeschlossen, der zur Ausbohrung proximal ist. Das andere Ende des länglichen Indikatormitgliedes verlängert vollständig durch die Ausbohrung des Fasses, damit es außerhalb des Fasses der Feuerwaffe sichtbar ist, dem Benutzer anzuzeigen, daß die Feuerwaffe in sicherem Zustand ist und nicht abgefeuert werden kann.
