A computer system comprises: a non-volatile memory for storing therein a
BIOS table relating to basic operation of the computer system; an
auxiliary memory for storing an operating system of the computer system;
an information memory provided in the auxiliary memory for storing therein
information on the operating system; and a BIOS controller for
automatically setting up the BIOS table of the non-volatile memory based
on the OS information stored in the information memory when a BIOS POST
routine of the computer system is executed. With this configuration,
although an auxiliary memory device storing the OS of the computer system
according to the present invention is replaced, the OS information can be
automatically set up in the BIOS table, thereby providing a convenience to
the user. In addition, according to the present invention, a computer
system needs no rebooting thereof due to OS change in the BIOS table.
Un sistema informático abarca: una memoria permanente para almacenar en esto una tabla del BIOS referente a la operación básica del sistema informático; una memoria auxiliar para almacenar un sistema operativo del sistema informático; una memoria de la información proporcionó en la memoria auxiliar para almacenar en esto la información en el sistema operativo; y un regulador del BIOS para automáticamente setting-up la tabla del BIOS de la memoria permanente basada en la información del OS almacenada en la memoria de la información cuando una rutina del POSTE del BIOS del sistema informático se ejecuta. Con esta configuración, aunque un dispositivo de memoria auxiliar que almacena el OS del sistema informático según la actual invención se substituye, la información del OS se puede instalar automáticamente en la tabla del BIOS, de tal modo proporcionando una conveniencia al usuario. Además, según la actual invención, un sistema informático no necesita ninguna reanudación de eso de debido al cambio del OS en la tabla del BIOS.
