An efficient synthesis of sulfonyl pyrazoles of formula I:

compound of formula II:

wherein the ring of the formula (R.sup.5)-A-(SO.sub.m R.sup.4), m R.sup.1
through R.sup.9 are as defined above and wherein R.sup.10 is halo,
(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.3 --, (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl-SO.sub.3 --,
(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.2 --, or (C.sub.6 -C.sub.10)aryl-SO.sub.2
--; wherein each of said (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl component of said
(C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.3 -- and (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.2
-- radicals may optionally be substituted on any carbon atom by one to six
fluoro substituents per (C.sub.1 -C.sub.6)alkyl component; with a compound
of formula R.sup.3 --H, wherein R.sup.3 is as defined above, in the
presence of a fluoride containing salt and in the presence of a solvent.
Een efficiënte synthese van sulfonyl pyrazoles van formule I: ## STR1 ## waarin de ring van de formule (r.sup.5)-a-(SO.sub.m R.sup.4), m, R.sup.1 door R.sup.9 zijn zoals die in de specificatie wordt bepaald, bestaand reagerend uit een samenstelling van formule II: ## STR2 ## waarin de ring van de formule (r.sup.5)-a-(SO.sub.m R.sup.4), m R.sup.1 door R.sup.9 zijn zoals hierboven bepaald en waarin R.sup.10 halo is, (C.sub.1 - C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.3 --, (C.sub.6 - C.sub.10)aryl-SO.sub.3 --, (C.sub.1 - C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.2 --, of (C.sub.6 - C.sub.10)aryl-SO.sub.2 ; waarin elk van gezegd (C.sub.1 - component C.sub.6)alkyl van gezegd (C.sub.1 - C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.3 -- en (C.sub.1 - C.sub.6)alkyl-SO.sub.2 -- de basissen kunnen naar keuze op om het even welk koolstofatoom door één tot zes fluorosubstituenten per worden gesubstitueerd (C.sub.1 - component C.sub.6)alkyl; met een samenstelling van formule R.sup.3 h, waarin R.sup.3 zoals hierboven bepaald is, in aanwezigheid van een fluoride dat zout bevat en in aanwezigheid van een oplosmiddel.
