Smokable films, in particular tubular films, comprising i) an aliphatic
polyamide and ii) a block copolyetherester elastomer are provided. A
process for manufacturing these films is also provided. The films of the
invention show excellent water vapor permeability at high temperatures and
barrier properties at room temperature. They are suitable for preparation
of tubular casings, in particular smoked foodstuff casings.
Smokable Filme, insbesondere röhrenförmige Filme, i) ein aliphatisches Polyamid und II) ein Block copolyetherester Elastomer enthalten werden zur Verfügung gestellt. Ein Prozeß für die Produktion dieser Filme wird auch zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Filme der Erfindung zeigen ausgezeichnete Wasserdampfpermeabilität bei den hohen Temperaturen und Sperre Eigenschaften bei der Raumtemperatur. Sie sind für Vorbereitung der röhrenförmigen Gehäuse, insbesondere geräucherte Nahrungsmittelgehäuse verwendbar.
