A stable proteoliposome containing an integral membrane protein in a lipid
membrane around an elliptoid or spherical shape. The shape preferably
contains an attractant such as streptavidin or avidin and the lipid
membrane contains a moiety that binds to the attractant such as biotin.
The integral membrane protein is bound to a ligand which is anchored in
the shape. Methods for making the proteoliposomes are provided. Kits for
making the proteoliposome are described, as are the uses of the
proteoliposome.
Un proteoliposome stable contenant une protéine intégrale de membrane dans une membrane de lipide autour d'un elliptoid ou d'une forme sphérique. La forme contient de préférence un attractant tel que le streptavidin ou l'avidine et la membrane de lipide contient une partie qui lie à l'attractant tel que la biotine.
