Complex compounds containing acesulfame have good antimicrobial action, in
particular antibacterial action, and are distinguished by the fact that
they are complex compounds of metallic elements such as zinc, copper,
silver, or nonmetallic quaternary ammonium cations, such as the
cetylpyridinium cation, with acesulfame. The invention also relates to a
process for preparing the compounds and their use in the oral hygiene
sector.
