The present invention is a redundancy system in the interface between a
wireless and packet-based telecommunications network. The redundancy
system includes back-up support components coupled to hub broadcast
routers. Because the back-up support component monitors all communications
to the primary support component through the communications from the hub
broadcast routers, the back-up support component can assume responsibility
for the primary interface support component without excessive overhead in
sending back-up file information to a redundant component.
