A method and apparatus for reducing deep fading of signals in
satellite-based communications systems employing terrestrial repeater
stations by shifting the phase of the signals transmitted from each
terrestrial repeater station by a different amount so that the signals are
transmitted from each terrestrial repeater station and received at a
receiver at different phases, thereby effectuating time diversity in such
signals to reduce deep fading of the signals. The method and apparatus can
be used in CDMA and OFDM systems.
Un metodo e un apparecchio per la riduzione in profondità dello sbiadisc dei segnali nei sistemi di comunicazione per satellite che impiegano le stazioni ripetirici terrestri spostando la fase dei segnali trasmessi da ogni stazione ripetitrice terrestre da un importo differente in moda da trasmettere da ogni stazione ripetitrice terrestre e siano ricevuti i segnali ad una ricevente alle fasi differenti, quindi effettuante diversità di tempo in tali segnali ridurre in profondità sbiadisc dei segnali. Il metodo e l'apparecchio possono essere utilizzati nei sistemi di OFDM e di CDMA.
