A device and a method for the use thereof are disclosed for encouraging a
child who is a poor eater to eat its food. The device includes a rim
member having a contiguous periphery, which defines a central opening,
with the underside of the rim member defining a securing portion adapted
for securely mating with a peripheral edge portion of a container. A head
member is mounted onto the rim member with at least part of the head
member being located in a plane above the central opening defined by the
rim member. The head member has at least one passageway defined therein,
the passageway being adapted to allow access therethrough into and beyond
the central opening defined by the rim member.

Le dispositif inclut un membre de jante ayant une périphérie contiguë, qui définit une ouverture centrale, avec le dessous du membre de jante définissant une partie de fixation adaptée pour joindre solidement à une partie périphérique de bord d'un récipient. Un membre principal est monté sur le membre de jante avec au moins une partie du membre principal étant situé dans un avion au-dessus de l'ouverture centrale définie par le membre de jante. Le membre principal fait définir au moins un passage là-dedans, le passage étant adapté pour permettre l'accès par là dans et au delà de l'ouverture centrale définie par le membre de jante.
