Thermally developable compositions such thermographic and
photothermographic emulsions include certain heterocyclic disulfide
compounds and ascorbic acid or reductone reducing agents. These
compositions can be used in thermally developable materials such as
thermographic and photothermographic materials to provide increased image
density and shortened development time, and to allow development at lower
temperatures. Such materials can have imaging layers on one or both sides
of the support.
