A method for topically treating rosacea is disclosed. In this method, an
active material having the formula given below is applied to the patient
at the site of said rosacea:

wherein R.sup.1 is selected from --OH and C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl OH; and
R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 and R.sup.6 are independently selected
from --H, --OH, C.sub.1 -C.sub.6 alkyl, and C.sub.3 -C.sub.6 cycloalkyl.
Preferred active materials include 1,2-cyclohexanediol,
1,3-cyclohexanediol, 1,4-cyclohexanediol, and mixtures of those materials.
Methods for treating acne vulgaris, as well as colds, flu, sinusitis, and
ear infections, using these actives are also disclosed.
Eine Methode für rosacea aktuell behandeln wird freigegeben. In dieser Methode wird ein aktives Material, welches die Formel unten geben läßt, am Patienten am Aufstellungsort des besagten rosacea angewendet: ## STR1 ## worin R.sup.1 von --OH und von C.sub.1 - C.sub.3 Alkyl OH- vorgewählt wird; und R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5 und R.sup.6 werden unabhängig vom --H, --OH, C.sub.1 - Alkyl C.sub.6 und C.sub.3 - cycloalkyl C.sub.6 vorgewählt. Bevorzugte aktive Materialien schließen 1,2-cyclohexanediol, 1,3-cyclohexanediol, 1,4-cyclohexanediol und Mischungen jener Materialien mit ein. Methoden für das Behandeln Aknegemeines, sowie colds, Grippe, Sinusitis und die Ohrinfektion, diese actives verwendend werden auch freigegeben.
