The present invention relates to a method for the preparation of citalopram
comprising reduction of a compound of formula

wherein X is a cyano group or a group which can be converted to a cyano
group, and if X is not a cyano group followed by conversion of X to a
cyano group.
Die anwesende Erfindung bezieht auf einer Methode für die Vorbereitung von citalopram Verkleinerung von einem Mittel von Formel ## STR1 ## enthalten, worin X eine Cyanogruppe oder eine Gruppe ist, die in eine Cyanogruppe umgewandelt werden können, und wenn X nicht eine Cyanogruppe ist, die von der Umwandlung von X zu einer Cyanogruppe gefolgt wird.
