Apparatus, and an associated method, by which to display positional data
related to one or more mobile stations operable in a cellular or other
radio communication system. The positional data is displayed at a display
device of the selected mobile station. The positional data is overlaid
upon, or otherwise displayed together with, a map display of an area
encompassing the location at which the mobile station is identified to be
positioned. A user of the mobile station at which the positional data and
map display are displayed is able to ascertain the position of the mobile
station merely by viewing the display.
Apparat und eine verbundene Methode, durch die die Positionsdaten anzeigen dazugehörig auf einer oder mehr beweglichen Stationen funktionell in einem zellularen oder einem anderen Funkverbindungsystem. Die Positionsdaten werden an einem Sichtanzeigegerät der vorgewählten beweglichen Station angezeigt. Die Positionsdaten werden overlaid auf oder anders zusammen mit, eine Diagrammanzeige eines Bereichs angezeigt, der die Position umgibt, an der die bewegliche Station gekennzeichnet wird, in Position gebracht zu werden. Ein Benutzer der beweglichen Station, an der die Positionsdaten- und Diagrammanzeige angezeigt werden, ist, die Position der beweglichen Station bloß zu ermitteln, indem er die Anzeige ansieht.
