The present invention relates to an intra-ocular lens that is made from
hydrophilic polymer. An effective amount of medicine is dispersed in the
mass of the of the polymer and when implanted in the eye of a subject, the
lens releases the medicine into the intra-ocular tissues so that the
medicine is in the vicinity of the site where action is needed.
